After School Programs

MOST (Maximizing Out of School Time)

United Community Options offers Afterschool and Summer Camp Programs for students with varying exceptionalities, ages 3-22 in small groups with an excellent adult to student ratios. We provide quality academic and cultural arts experiences that develop and strengthen performance skills through fun-filled activities. We have locations in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano. Afterschool hours are 2:00pm-6:00pm. A healthy snack and dinner are offered daily. Our summer camp program runs for nine weeks, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm, depending on the site.

During the time we’re unable to offer the summer camp, you may want to look for an alternative if you love that kind of stuff! There are loads of other camps you can choose from, ranging from local ones to across town/ county to Maine Summer Camp! Whatever floats your boat, be prepared to take on your next adventure!

STEP (Supported Training and Employment Program)

STEP is a year-round program offering development and employment experience to prepare individuals with varying exceptionalities for post-secondary education, training, and employment opportunities. Services are designed to help youth ages 16-21. We support our students in meeting their individual employment and educational goals, gain self-advocacy and improve social skills, connect them to support services and help them develop a sense of belonging within the community. The STEP program has 6 locations throughout Broward County during the school year. During the summer United Community Options offers paid internships at local businesses, providing job coaching and training.

United Community Options offers After School Programs for students with varying exceptionalities, ages 3-17 in small groups with excellent adult to student ratios. We provide services in a safe and structured environment to enhance performance through fun filled activities. Programming includes Art, music, dance and Kidzlit an educational activity focused on student literacy. Minimal co-payments on a sliding scale fee may apply and a healthy snack is provided daily.
